Contract Details
This is a short term contract until July 2025.

Towcester Primary School is a friendly, nurturing church school based in the heart of the market town of Towcester. We provide fantastic provision for children from the local community.  The school prides itself on its inclusive nurturing approach and strives to ensure that all pupils thrive and have a brilliant start to their education!

Standards are high at Towcester where children are keen to learn but welfare and nurture is paramount in allowing this to happen. Visitors comment on the school’s ethos of nurture and the ‘family feel’ of the school. Our children tell us that this is a fantastic place to be!

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and excellent teacher, who has a proven record of improving the quality of education within a school, with particular emphasis on EYFS.  This is an exciting time for us, as we are developing our pre-school  so this role offers an exciting opportunity incorporating Nursery and Reception-aged children. If you are looking for your next challenge, we want to hear from you!

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic, experienced, approachable and friendly
  • is up to date with current research around Quality First Teaching and Early Years practice (Nursery and Reception),
  • Ensures all children feel safe, happy and able to learn to the best of their ability and reach their potential,
  • Is knowledgeable and has the skills to meet the requirements of the EYFS Framework, including a good understanding of Early Reading,
  • Has the ability to develop effective relationships with pupils, parents and external agencies in order to support pupils’ smooth transition into school
  • Is confident in leading a team, developing the vision and having the drive to move it forward
  • Able to create a stimulating and inviting learning environment adapted to suit the needs of the pupils,
  • Supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.

In return we can offer you:

  • A supportive environment where contributions and ideas are encouraged, valued and supported.
  • Happy and motivated children who are eager to learn.
  • A fantastic close working team, both in school and across the Trust
  • Access to a vast array of employee benefits and recognition systems, via our partnership with Vivup
  • Employment within one of the largest Multi-Academy Trusts in Northamptonshire, with wider development and career opportunities.

You will join a friendly environment which values everybody; you will teach happy, well motivated children, who are eager to learn and be led by a supportive leadership team. In addition, you will be joining a trust that prides itself on developing their people and we encourage ambitious teachers to apply.

If you would like to be considered for this post then please submit a completed application form clearly outlining why you are perfect for this post and why you think our school is your school of choice. Visits during the school day are welcome and encouraged.  Please contact the school office, via email: office@towcester.pdet.org.uk or by phone, 01327 350332

Towcester CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and safer recruitment practice. DBS checks will be required from successful candidates and references will be sought prior to interview for all shortlisted candidates.
