Teacher of Mathematics
Full Time permanent
MPS/UPS
Start date: September 2024
Are you an ambitious and talented mathematics teacher who wants to teach in our vibrant, high achieving and multicultural faith school? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated professional to join our department in a supportive and team-orientated School. We are looking for individuals who will contribute to the current whole school teaching and learning strategies and develop their own teaching practice in collaboration with the whole department, A-level teaching is desired but not essential.
We believe our best resource are our teachers. Within the school and department we have a programme of research based CPD ensuring that the students are at the heart of all we do and colleagues have the opportunity to develop personally and professionally as well as share their passion with others if they wish. Our curriculum is centrally resourced using booklets to decrease staff workload.
Our School
Cardinal Newman School is an 11-19 comprehensive school, serving the Roman Catholic community in Luton and Dunstable. We are an oversubscribed school and have a thriving Sixth Form with 300 students, with maths being one of the most popular subjects. We have been consistently described by Ofsted as a ‘good’ school and under Section 48 as an ‘outstanding Catholic school’. The department is well resourced and works collaboratively to reduce to workload of all staff. Cardinal Newman provides a dynamic, friendly and vibrant environment where support, training and development for all staff is our top priority. Our students and staff experience a supportive and caring atmosphere, along with high standards and expectations that prepare our students for life.
