About this Role
Part-time, 13 hours per week. Fixed Term until August 2027 with
possibility to become permanent.
We are seeking an enthusiastic
and dedicated General Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive
school team. You will work closely with teaching staff to support learning
across the curriculum, promote positive behaviour, and help create a safe,
inclusive, and stimulating environment.
The role is offered as 13 hours per week, Thursdays and Fridays plus the opportunity to do some additional hours in our wraparound care. The role includes a mix of responsibilities as detailed below.
Thursday
- 8:30 to 12:30 in Y5/6 as GTA
- 12:30 to 13:00 - MSA duty
- 13:00 to 1:30 - Lunch break (unpaid)
- 13:30 to 15:30pm - HLTA PPA cover in Y3/4 (all lesson planning given)
Friday
- 8:30 to 12:30 - in Y5/6 as GTA
- 12:30 to 13:00 - MSA duty
- 13:00 to 13:30 - Lunch break (unpaid)
- 13:30 to 15:30pm - in Y5/6 as GTA

About You
To be a good fit for this role, you will be:
- Capable of working with individual pupils and small
groups, under the direction of the class teacher to provide for each
individual child’s stage of development and interests, regardless of any
disabilities, family backgrounds or medical history
- Able to support the class teacher in managing the
classroom and its resources
- Able to provide 1:1 support to pupils with Special Educational Needs
