Are you looking for a fantastic new opportunity?

Sun Academy is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant. We welcome applications from outstanding individuals to join us at our engaging, primary academy.

 About you: -

We are looking for a positive and committed individual who has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, has a pro-active approach and the ability to work independently, as well as the ability to relate well to visitors, staff, and students. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within a friendly team.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people and children, understand child development and the ways in which children learn, and experience in assisting children on an individual basis, in small groups and whole class work.

We welcome applications from ambitious candidates, keen to make a difference who have a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every student.

About the Academy:

At Sun we believe every child is ABLE. We want our children to work hard to achieve their goals, targets and dreams. We believe in ourselves, each other and the future. We make sure each day we learn something new and our curriculum ensures we enjoy our learning.

Sun children flourish through our excellent curriculum. They experience a range of activities, trips and visits which ensure they not only thrive academically but are ready socially and emotionally for life beyond primary school.

This is an exciting time for Sun Academy as we continue our journey to becoming an Outstanding school, following our OFSTED in February 2024, where we remained a Good school.

In return, you can expect fantastic Professional Development opportunities, a comprehensive employee benefits package, shopping discounts, cycle-to-work scheme, cinema tickets and an employee assistance programme.

Are you ready to make a difference and join our journey? If you wish to learn more information and apply for the role of Learning Support Assistant, please see our application pack, and visit our careers page.

Our ATT2030 Vision means we meet our young people where they are at and refuse to leave them there.  Our pupils will leave us capable, competent and confident and take their place in the community of educated people.  Our staff will be cared for, developed and they do will be capable, competent and confident.  We would love to hear from those who want to join us in that mission.

The successful applicant will undertake an enhanced DBS criminal record check, and online searches will be carried out in line with KCSIE update 2025.  We are committed to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion and welcome all applications.  We are open to Flexible Working.
