About this Role

Teaching and learning responsibility:

·       Monitor and analyse pupil progress and attainment data within the curriculum area alongside ABA supervisors and class teachers

·       Ensure relevant curriculum area is an integral part of the pupils’ differentiated curriculum; Lead a whole staff meeting relevant to your designated area with appropriate colleagues (minimum of one per year)

·       Together with the senior leadership team (SLT) of the school, contribute to, monitor and review the impact of teaching on pupil progress in the designated curriculum area (including a minimum of one joint lesson observation per term with a member of SLT

·       Monitor standards of data collection and implementation practices as relevant to your designated area across the school

·       Review long and medium-term planning annually

·       Present a ‘quality of provision’ report each year to school senior leaders and/or governors

·       Provide support for colleagues within your area of responsibility promoting a whole school approach

 

Operational and strategic responsibilities

·       Responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate planning, assessment and teaching / learning strategies within the designated curriculum area

·       Supporting the application of ICT in the designated curriculum area (e.g., video modelling strategies)

 

Curriculum provision

·       Liaison with the Headteacher and Head of Cohort to ensure the delivery of an appropriate, comprehensive, high-quality and cost-effective scheme which complements Forest Bridge’s strategic objectives and meets individual pupil expectations and requirements

·       Ensuring the needs of all our pupils (age and ability) are addressed within the designated curriculum area

·     Ensuring appropriate assessments for curriculum area are in place alongside the Headteacher and Head of Cohort.
