You’ll create a purposeful, positive learning environment, guide students through pre-prepared work, and help them stay focused and engaged so their learning never misses a beat.

This role offers you the chance to step in and lead lessons in the absence of the regular teacher for KS3 and KS4 students, and is a great opportunity for those looking to enter a teaching career. You’ll also have the opportunity to make a broader contribution across the Academy.
You will manage classroom behaviour to ensure pupils stay on task and facilitate the activities that have been designed by teaching staff to ensure that students complete the work in an effective learning environment.

This is a permanent, part time, role, working for 32.5 hours per week, term time only.
You Will:
- Supervise the students in KS3 and KS4 working on pre-set learning activities in the absence of a teacher.
- Be
caring and supportive and committed to achieving excellent results.
- Have
a belief that every young person, whatever their starting point or
circumstances, can achieve exceptional things.
- Promote
the well-being of our student’s providing guidance and support and be able
to inspire learning and progress.
- Be
resilient and determined, and confident in talking to large groups of
young people.
