About the Role

As a SEND Teacher within our internal alternative provision, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons tailored to pupils with SEND, with a preference for those specialising in SEMH
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to provide holistic support that promotes academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and personal development
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and motivated to overcome barriers
  • Take an active role in pastoral care and support pupils’ social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Embrace professional development opportunities to continually enhance your expertise and leadership skills

About You

You are an inspiring and compassionate SEND professional who:

  • Holds qualified teacher status with a strong commitment to ongoing professional growth
  • Has excellent knowledge of SEND, particularly SEMH, and understands how to adapt teaching to meet diverse needs
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
  • Is confident in managing behaviour and creating a supportive, structured learning environment
  • Has a passion for making a meaningful difference in young people’s lives and aligns with our values of being professional, compassionate, responsible, respectful, loyal, and kind
  • Is proactive, reflective, and open to challenge, always seeking the best outcomes for pupils
