Welcome to the University Collegiate School
To say I am honoured to be the Head of UCS Bolton is an understatement.
From a working-class Irish family, my five-year-old self with a dream of becoming a teacher probably wouldn’t believe it!
It is a genuine privilege and pleasure to serve our students and the wonderfully diverse and welcoming Bolton community.
We are entering an exciting time for UCS Bolton. We are embracing our identity as a University Technical College. We are placing student outcomes and destinations at the heart of EVERY decision we make. We are building strong relationships with employers to ensure our students understand the world of work and excel in all interactions with future employers.
Our recently opened £17 million building extension, affectionately named The Lord Baker building accentuates our commitment to this. In addition to a suite of modern new classrooms, students have access to specialist technology rooms, art studios, music facilities, ICT rooms and engineering workshops.
University Collegiate School Bolton is part of the Quest Trust family of schools with a team who possess a full understanding of the whole educational experience from early years all the way through to employment. As a Trust, we are committed to creating opportunities from when children first join us in our nursery provision, all the way through to when they leave us to study at university, move into an apprenticeship or secure full time employment.
We build their confidence and embed a set of values - professional, responsible, loyal - which will ensure whatever their destination, they leave us decent and principled citizens ready to thrive and succeed in the world of work.
