Key Responsibilities:

    Lead the Computing department, setting the strategic vision and direction

    Develop and implement a robust Computing curriculum that engages and inspires our pupils 

    Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning in Computing across our schools 

    Provide tailored support and CPD to teaching staff to enhance their subject knowledge and pedagogical skills 

    Ensure the effective use of technology to support teaching and learning 

    Liaise with school leaders to identify and address any areas for improvement 

    We are looking for someone with a genuine passion and interest in IT. 

    Requirements:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent 

    Extensive experience teaching Computing/ICT in a secondary setting 

    Proven track record of leading and managing a Computing/ICT department 

    Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the latest developments in Computing education 

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with staff 

    Ability to lead and inspire others to achieve high standards 

     Desirable: 

    Evidence of driving school improvement and raising attainment in Computing 

    Knowledge of education technology and its effective integration in the classroom
