About the Role
As a History teacher you will:
- Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire pupils to think critically and develop a deep understanding of historical contexts and enquiry.
- Teach across Key Stages 3 to 5, preparing pupils for internal assessments, GCSEs, and A levels with high expectations for all learners.
- Adapt your teaching to meet diverse needs, including those of high-ability pupils and those with special educational or linguistic requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Humanities department and wider colleagues to develop a broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum that reflects our values and community needs.
- Contribute to a positive, safe learning environment that promotes excellent behaviour and wellbeing.
- Act as a form tutor, supporting pupils’ personal development and academic progress.
- Engage actively in professional development and support Trust-wide improvement initiatives.
