Withernsea Primary School is looking to appoint two dedicated, skilled and enthusiastic Senior Achievement Support Assistants to work within our specialist provisions and contribute to the continued development of our school.
These are two full-time, permanent positions, working 31 hours per week.

We are committed to delivering a broad and engaging curriculum that supports both academic achievement and personal development for children aged 3–11.
Our specialist provision supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Communication and Interaction needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and delivering learning opportunities, preparing resources and supporting pupils to access learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
We are seeking someone who:
Has a genuine enthusiasm for supporting children and helping them to enjoy learning
Has experience of, or a strong understanding of, supporting children with a range of SEND, including Communication and Interaction and SEMH needs
Is committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential
Can plan, prepare and deliver learning activities and intervention programmes to individuals and small groups under the guidance of teaching staff
Is able to gather, organise and prepare high-quality resources to support teaching and learning within the provision
Can adapt activities, teaching approaches and resources to meet the individual needs of pupils
Demonstrates patience, empathy, resilience and flexibility when supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
Can build positive, trusting relationships with children and support their social, emotional and personal development
Is skilled in using positive behaviour strategies, restorative approaches and de-escalation techniques
Is able to assess and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to reviews and target setting
Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and liaises positively with parents and external agencies
Is organised, dependable and reflective in their practice
Has high expectations for both themselves and the pupils they support
