About the role

Staynor Hall Community Primary Academy are looking to welcome a number of Relief Midday Supervisory Assistants in to their busy and hardworking team.

If you are looking to earn an extra income in a flexible role and have a passion for working with children this could be the role for you. We currently have an opportunity to build a small team of relief Midday Supervisory Assistants to work as and when is needed in line with the school’s needs. The hours of work are to be Monday – Friday lunchtimes between 11.15am and 1.15pm.

The role is to care for, support and interact with children during the lunchtime period, which includes helping the children access the lunch service. A key part of this role is to supervise the children on the playground during their lunchtime break and manage behaviour. 


 The job requirements

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build good relationships with both adults and children. Strong time management, organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are all essential to this role.

You will have a genuine care towards all our children, encouraging them to achieve their best. You will have good behaviour management skills, implementing clear boundaries and routines, you will use behaviour management in all areas around school.

While experience of working with children and a relevant qualification are not essential it would be useful if you have some knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and special education needs although full training and support will be provided to the successful candidates.
