 Relief Cafe Assistant

Location: Barnsley

Pay Rate: £13.87 per hour

Hours: Casual/Bank (Weekdays  and School Holidays)

The Opportunity

Looking for flexible hours that fit around your home life?  We have an exciting new opportunity to join our casual staff bank.

We are opening up our amazing new cafe during school lettings and during the school holidays. We need a team of dedicated staff to help us run alongside our cafe manger  during weekdays and throughout the school holidays.

You will work closely with our Cafe Manager, but you will also need the confidence and competence to run the cafe independently during their absence. As a Relief Cafe Assistant, you will maintain our high standards of service, safety, and cleanliness, providing a warm and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors alike.

No cafe experience? No problem! We will provide you with all the training and guidance you need. 

Key Requirements

  • Commitment: Willingness to work at least one session every half-term.

  • Availability: Casual staff will be required to provide their availability at least 1 month in advance.

  • Development: A willingness to undertake additional training relevant to the post alongside some statutory training required when working in a school environment

  • Payroll: Staff will be paid on the 15th of each month upon receipt of a submitted timesheet.
