THE ROLE
As a Grade 1 Teaching Assistant (TA1) at our school in Barnsley, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future. This will include working under the guidance of a teacher to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day. This includes:
Getting the classroom ready for lessons
Supporting children in and out of class with reading, visual learning, outdoor play and swimming
Helping those who need extra support
Completing pupils record plans
Personal care
THE CANDIDATE
Interest in working in a special education school
An understanding or experience of working with children/ young people with SEN / SEND needs
Be willing to undertake Math's & English qualifications within a specific timeframe
SALARY/ HOURS
Salary for a Grade 1 Teaching Assistant is £18,895 actual annual salary working 33 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust This is a full time role working Mon-Fri TERM TIME only 8.50am-3.45pm (every Wednesday till 4.45pm)
