We are seeking a committed and highly motivated Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the learning, progress and wellbeing of our pupils, working closely with teachers and the SENDCo to support children in reaching their full potential.  In this role you will be supporting pupils across Key Stage 2, therefore experience of working in Key Stage 2 would be advantageous, although not essential.

As part of your role as a Teaching Assistant you will be required to carry out 30 minutes of Midday Supervision per day, which is a great way to build positive relationships with all children.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work with individual pupils and small groups, delivering targeted learning support and helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. 

The successful candidate will:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant
• Experience of working in Key Stage 2 would be advantageous.
• Be skilled in supporting pupils in literacy and numeracy.
• Have experience of supporting children with additional needs and SEND.
• Be able to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• Be proactive, flexible and committed to achieving the best outcomes for children.

Working Hours

8:30am to 3:30pm (Monday to Friday) with 30-minute un-paid lunch break.

32.5 hours per week, term time only (working 38 weeks per year)

Hampton College is an established all-through school (ages 4-19) located in Hampton Vale, Peterborough.  It sits within Hampton Academies Trust (HAT) and works closely with neighbouring schools such as Hampton Gardens and Hampton Lakes.
