About this Role

Access Arrangements Co-ordinator & SEND Admin Support

Grade 6 | 20–22 hours per week (negotiable)

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-focused and committed Access Arrangements Co-ordinator & SEND Admin Support to join our Achievement Support team. Working closely with the SENDCo, this role plays a vital part in enabling students to access learning and examinations fairly and in line with JCQ regulations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working with complex processes, values accuracy and confidentiality, and wants to make a meaningful difference to young people’s educational experience.

About the role

Under the direction of the SENDCo, you will take a lead administrative role in co-ordinating access arrangements for internal and external examinations. This includes managing evidence, maintaining accurate records, liaising with staff, and supporting the operational delivery of access arrangements during examination periods. You will also provide wider administrative support to the SEND team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Co-ordinating and maintaining access arrangements records, evidence files and monitoring logs
  • Organising and scheduling assessments with qualified assessors
  • Collating teacher evidence (including Form 8 documentation)
  • Supporting the preparation and secure handling of JCQ documentation
  • Assisting with the organisation of exam access arrangements such as readers, scribes, rest breaks and separate rooms
  • Supporting SEND administrative systems, meetings and annual review processes
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, the SEND team and Exams team

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in an administrative role requiring accuracy, record-keeping and confidentiality
  • Is highly organised, detail-oriented and able to juggle competing priorities
  • Communicates confidently and professionally with staff, parents and external agencies
  • Can work independently, use initiative and remain calm under pressure
  • Is flexible and able to support busy exam periods

Experience within a school or exams environment, or knowledge of Access Arrangements and JCQ regulations, would be an advantage, although training will be provided for the right candidate.

Working Hours & Salary

Grade 6 - £26,402 to £28,598 FTE (pay award pending)

  • Hours of Work - working hours are negotiable, in discussion with the successful candidate
  • Total:  20-22 hours per week / term time only
  • Actual salary (based on 20 hours per week, term time only) : £11,908 to  £12,898 (pay award pending)
