Freeland CE Primary School wishes to appoint a teaching assistant to
start as soon as possible. We need someone for 18 hours per week to work
primarily in reception (4-5 year olds) but also in other classes, where needed
and to work with small groups of children or 1:1 to deliver interventions such
as phonics, maths, speech and language.
We are looking for someone with a passion for working with young
children to join our dedicated team of staff. We are a small rural village
primary school with 136 pupils on roll from 2-11 years old who are well behaved
and engaged in their learning.
We need someone who is:
·
Hardworking and willing to
be flexible
·
energetic and enthusiastic
·
has a sense of humour
·
has good literacy and
numeracy skills
·
can use their initiative
·
is hardworking
·
can develop effective
relationships with children and colleagues
·
loves learning and is
willing to develop their practice through professional development regularly
·

Prior experience of working in an early years setting would be an
advantage but not essential. The role involves working alongside the class
teacher to support children with their learning, having high quality interactions
to help every child make progress and ensure the emotional wellbeing of pupils.
