Hillside Primary School and Nursery in Ipswich is seeking a committed and thoughtful SEND Teacher to join our Oasis specialist internal alternative provision. This role focuses on supporting pupils with complex needs to re-engage with learning, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes. Working within a caring, collaborative school and as part of Active Learning Trust, the role offers the opportunity to deliver tailored, high-quality provision, respond sensitively to individual needs and contribute to a strong culture of inclusion. We are looking for a practitioner who brings patience, resilience and professional curiosity, and who is motivated by making a meaningful difference for children who need it most.

 Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional and high needs
  • Assess, monitor and use pupil progress effectively to inform teaching and secure strong outcomes
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and inclusion, creating a safe and positive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and external professionals to support pupil development
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school
