About this Role

This is an exciting opportunity at Ormiston Chadwick Academy and requires you to be enthusiastic and passionate with the drive to help our students to achieve their very best.

We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher from September 2025, to join our supportive, highly organised and ambitious English department. You could be at any point in your teaching career but will be committed to support and develop the teaching of English so that students of all abilities enjoy their learning and are motivated to succeed. The successful candidate will need to be a qualified teacher, able to deliver consistently good and better lessons across the age-groups of the Academy.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about English, maintaining high expectations of learning, achievement and behaviour contributing to whole school improvement, inspiring our students and making a positive contribution to our ethos and values. Our English department aims to nurture and inspire our students to become confident readers, writers and speakers who can compete with anyone, anywhere.

Ormiston Chadwick Academy opened in Widnes in September 2014 serving the community of West Widnes.   Our Academy is large enough to offer an outstanding curriculum but small enough to have a strong community ethos in which all students are known and nurtured to achieve their potential.
