Values and vision
Ormiston Chadwick Academy wants students to reach their full academic potential in a supportive and stimulating environment. In the first year, pupils are allocated a mentor to help them discover their talents and interests, and a plan is set out for them to achieve their goals. The importance of good manners and courtesy are instilled at all times, and the school fosters the core values of: fairness, integrity, self-discipline and respect for others and their environment.
Ormiston Chadwick Academy believes in developing students’ experiences and transferable skills, offering over 80 extra-curricular programmes ranging from dance to horse riding. Students' can also gain accredited awards such as a First Aid certificate and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. The school invites artists, scientists and reputable organisations to come along and help inspire students to achieve their ambitions.
Ofsted
“The quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding. Teachers have very high expectations and deliver well-planned learning so that pupils are challenged and develop their skills rapidly. As a result, pupils make rapid progress from their starting points across the curriculum. This is particularly the case for disadvantaged pupils and pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities”.
