About this Role

We are looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our team and work closely with other members. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible when needed. The position will involve working with students across the entire school age range, from EYFS to Year 6.

We are seeking a confident and professional new member for our Teaching & Learning team. As part of your role, you will work in partnership with teachers to deliver learning activities to whole classes, as well as dedicate time to specific groups and individuals. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated candidate with the ability to use their own initiative to assess and evaluate pupils' needs, aiming to identify and resolve barriers to learning.

Sidegate is a friendly, caring primary school with high expectations for all pupils. Our staff team endeavours to provide a calm environment where good behaviour and mutual respect are modelled by everyone, and where everyone is valued.

If you share our ethos and values of 'Seize Opportunity, Create Success,' we would love to hear from you. This is no ordinary role – we strive to attract extraordinary people. We anticipate a strong field and reserve the right to move quickly for the right candidate.  We will review applications as they are submitted and may arrange interviews before the closing date or close the advert early if we have sufficient applications.

About you

  • Is an excellent role model for children in everything you do?

  • Has a desire to be involved in school improvement?

  • Has high expectations of the children they teach?

In return we will offer you:

A thriving, innovative learning community, committed to excellence.

A supportive, welcoming community of professionals.

Extensive support and development opportunities.

Full details of the job description and person specification can be found in the attached document.

As a flexible working employer, whilst the hours would ideally be as advertised, we are happy to discuss reduced working days or hours for the right candidate.

The academy reserves the right to interview suitably qualified candidates ahead of the interview date.
