About this Role

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and reflective Graphic Design teacher to join our well-established and successful faculty.

The Visual Arts Faculty at John Mason School is a faculty that has developed a rich curriculum offer across KS3-5. The team are dedicated to the principle that, if taught well, all students can be artistically and creatively successful. At JMS we teach Graphic Design up to KS5 under an Art & Design syllabus, which allows for creative expression and innovation with processes, strengthening learning links with other art and design subjects. Leaders in the faculty work to ensure positive staff wellbeing and manageable workload, ably assisted by a skilled team of technicians.

Applications are invited from reflective, disciplined, motivated and inspiring practitioners with specialisms in Graphic Art and/or Design, who have the capacity to deliver outstanding teaching, ensuring that students achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will understand principles of a knowledge and skills rich curriculum and have an understanding of relevant techniques in graphic communications, illustration and design. They will be passionate about personal improvement and promoting and teaching Visual Arts.
