About this Role

We are a thriving, growing village school, located in the Oxfordshire village of Southmoor. Our vision is to grow flourishing learners, who, have a sense of belonging to our school community, believe in themselves and others and aim to be as brilliant as they can be. Our approach to life at school is that ‘happy children learn’, and this is evident through our school values and ethos.

Our school  environment is consistently safe and calm. Leaders and staff know pupils and their needs well. Our pupils understand the school's high expectations and they behave responsibly in lessons and at social times. Partnerships with our parents and carers are positive. (Ofsted December 2025)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, forward-thinking teacher who has excellent classroom teaching skills to join our school team from September 2026. Applications are particularly welcome from applicants with a passion KS2.

  • Believe that every child can, and will, succeed.
  • Have the highest aspirations and expectations for every child, the school, and yourself.
  • Demonstrate an ability to develop and promote our school vision and the values-based ethos of our school.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with staff, parents, governors, external agencies and the wider community.
  • Have the passion and vision to work as part of a team in promoting excellence.

   We offer you:

  • A warm and welcoming positive working environment.
  • Polite, well-behaved and engaged pupils who are motivated to learn.
  • A supportive staff team, made up of several experienced members of staff and a strong SLT.
  • Close links with supportive Governors, the local community and a strong PTA.
