The Directors
are seeking to appoint a class teacher at St. Maria Goretti Catholic
Academy to start 1st May 2026 (or as soon as possible).
The successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:

An understanding of, and
commitment to, Catholic education.
·
Experience
in working with children across a range of ages including the knowledge
of phonics and teaching of reading.
·
Flexibility
and adaptability.
·
Knowledge,
skills and understanding of a range of strategies that will ensure the progress
of children with additional needs
·
The
ability to liaise effectively with staff and parents
·
Relevant
qualifications/experience or training (GCSE Maths and English) Working towards
or achieved Level 3 NVQ)
·
The
ability to
Ø Support the teacher in the planning and delivery of
learning activities.
Ø To help pupils to develop literacy and numeracy
skills.
Ø To help with the maintenance of classroom records.
Ø To support the teacher in the evaluation of the
learning activities.
Ø To support the maintenance of positive links
between home and school by making parents feel welcome and develop links with
other agencies.
Ø To help with the care and support of pupils individually and in groups.
