As a Catholic school, Christ is at the centre of all that we do. Everything at St Maria Goretti is underpinned by the Gospel Values and our school mission statement, ‘Achieve Together in Love and Faith’ permeates throughout the school.

Our passionate and nurturing staff feel strongly about developing and fostering the God-given talents of the children in our care, as well as delivering a broad, ambitious and bespoke curriculum, encouraging all learners to achieve well academically and to be the best version of themselves. This combination of high standards and compassion leads to good outcomes for all of our children.

We develop the whole child and our pupils are encouraged to be independent and lead their own learning. This overall, prepares them for the transition into the next part of their educational journey, as well as most of all, provides them with the resilience and ambition to achieve their hopes and dreams.

Our recent Ofsted report highlighted that our school is a ‘caring community, where pupils thrive.’  We are a family and pride ourselves on the relationships with parents and carers, appreciating that this has such an important contribution to children’s achievements at school.
