At Springwell Harrogate, our aim is simple: to provide the best possible care and education for children and young people who struggle with mainstream school.

We are a secondary academy supporting students who need a fresh start or a short term, 6 to 12 week placement to get back on track. We don't believe learning should be rigid. Instead, we focus on building strong relationships, using a nurturing approach to help our students feel safe, valued, and respected. Our motto is ‘A Chance to Succeed’, and we work hard to help our pupils build confidence, unlock their potential, and move on to a positive next step in education or work.

Choose Your Path of Impact

• Care Teaching Assistant: You will support small groups and individual students to help them grow personally. You’ll help them improve their school attendance, encourage great classroom behaviour, and teach them life skills like resilience and self esteem. You will also help teachers create learning resources and use simple IT tools daily.

• Teaching Assistant: You will help individual students or small groups feel confident with their learning, including core subjects like Maths, English, and reading. Through fun, practical, and creative activities, you will support students to build social skills, grow their self esteem, and manage their emotions.

• We would also love to hear from people interested in joining our catering, cleaning, and estates teams who want to help keep our academy running smoothly and looking great.
