About this Role

We are seeking an inspirational, well-qualified and dynamic Teacher of Business to join our thriving and supportive Business, Economics and Finance department. Applicants must possess graduate subject knowledge, have high expectations, be creative and inspirational, and be able to teach A Level Economics and A Level BTEC Business.

Business is a respected and extremely popular subject at Kimberley, and we offer it as both A-level and BTEC. We need a knowledgeable and committed teacher to work with our brilliant, hard-working students, for 6months in the first instance.

The successful candidate would be part of our Trust’s superb Business & Economics team. Both Economics and Business are extremely popular and fast-growing subjects, with large numbers of students pursuing degrees in related disciplines thereafter.

If you believe in the power of a great Business curriculum and want to work somewhere the subject is valued, teachers can teach with fads or bureacracy, and students are keen to learn, then our Trust could be the place for you. Whether you are at an early stage in your career or further along and looking for a fresh challenge, teaching Business at Wootton Academy Trust provides a great opportunity to use your expertise and passion to make a difference to the next generation!

This role is three days per week ideally worked on Monday, Thursday and Friday.

Closing Date: 9 July 2026. Please apply at the earliest opportunity. We reserve the right to close the vacancy early should we receive applications from outstanding candidates.

Applicants must complete the Trust’s application form via My New Term- we cannot accept CVs.  When applying, please complete all sections of the application form and ensure that you do not leave any gaps in your qualification/work history and that you give details of any periods not accounted for by full time employment, education or training. Forms with missing sections and/or gaps may not be considered.

Our vacancies are advertised on the MyNewTerm platform. To apply for these please click the vacancies button, or scroll down further to see our live jobs.

Wootton Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Wootton Academy Trust is committed to diversity in our workforce and welcome applications from all sections of the community.  The role is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.  All applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.
