About this Role

The Pinetree School is a special school for students aged 11-16 who have social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Many of our students have had to overcome significant difficulties in their lives and have struggled to succeed in other educational establishments.

It can be challenging at times and working here isn’t for everyone. With a supportive staff team, the opportunity to effect real chance and witness rapid progress is significant and often rewarding

We are amazed every day by what our students are capable of and are very proud of the difference we can make to so many young people.

We are seeking a Teacher/Instructor. The teaching is largely undertaken in small groups and the role includes pastoral (tutor) responsibilities. A particular interest in teaching Art and RSHE is essential.  This post can be offered on a job share or full time basis.  Please state your preference on the application form.

Please contact James Rice on JRice@pin.unity-ed.uk or 01842 752756 for further information.

Suitable candidates will be able to work well under their own initiative and have high levels of resilience, excellent ICT and administrative skills and an exemplary attendance record.

You will be able to save your partially completed form and complete later following the link you will be emailed.

Please ensure you submit your completed form before the closing date/time.

No CVs accepted – Please complete an official application form if you wish to be considered for this role.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We aim to be an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications irrespective of race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation and/or age. We value the individuality and creativity that every worker potentially brings to the workforce.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

This post will come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
