The Role
This is a
vital position acting as a bridge between our "Harbour" learning
support department and mainstream classrooms. You will drive the quality of
inclusive practice school-wide while providing high-quality, specialist
teaching for students with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Specialist
Teaching: Plan and deliver a bespoke, adapted curriculum for small groups with
complex needs, including Autism and SEMH.
·
Quality
Assurance: Collaborate with Subject Leaders to "scaffold" the
mainstream curriculum and conduct learning walks to monitor SEND adaptations.
·
Mentoring:
Model "Quality First Teaching" for ECTs and experienced staff.
·
Leadership
Development: Work alongside the Lead SENDCo to manage EHCPs and annual reviews.
Your Career Pathway
We are
committed to your professional growth. If you do not already hold the mandatory
SENDCo qualification, the school will fully fund and support your achievement
of the award within the first three years of your appointment.
What we are looking
for:

Qualified
Teacher Status (QTS) with a track record of high-quality teaching.
·
Deep
Knowledge: A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and
various learning needs such as ASD, ADHD, and Dyslexia.

Inclusive
Vision: The ability to design evidence-based interventions and use specialist
data to track "small steps" of progress.
·
Core
Attributes: Empathy, resilience, and a collaborative "team player"
approach.
