The pupils are at the very heart of all that we do at Beacon Academy, and as a smaller than average secondary school, we strive to know and meet the needs of pupils. We remain curious to ensure we fully meet their needs, in partnership with parents and carers. With a broad and balanced curriculum, and highly experienced teaching staff who are committed to their own learning and professional development, we ensure all pupils make progress from their starting points, securing academic and personal success. But our distinct aim is for pupils to be happy, safe and successful with genuine care throughout their time with us; we know that young people who feel happy and safe make great progress.
Our pupils are taught to become responsible, safe citizens and they are encouraged to care and respect the community they live in. We believe that through our dedicated personal development programme , pupils are equipped to navigate an ever-changing world, preparing them to take their place in the world beyond Beacon Academy.
We are excited to be part of the Government’s School Rebuild Programme, where we have secured a £3.5m investment to build our new school ready for its opening in September 2025. This will further enhance all of the opportunities we can provide for our pupils, families and community.
We look forward to welcoming you to Beacon Academy.
