Are you ready to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of scientists in a world-class environment?

It is a landmark time to join Beacon Academy. Having recently moved into our brand-new, multi-million-pound building, we offer our staff and students access to the most up-to-date facilities -including state-of-the-art laboratories designed for high-impact practical learning.

As part of the Wellspring Academy Trust - recently named Multi Academy Trust of the Yearwe pair high standards with a deeply relational, 'people-first' approach to education. We believe that Science is best taught through discovery, and we provide the resources to make that happen.

The Role

We are seeking an innovative Teacher of Science who can secure high-quality student outcomes while building strong, positive relationships. You will be part of a forward-thinking department that prioritises practical enquiry and academic excellence. Whether you are an experienced practitioner or an ECT, you will be supported by a Trust that genuinely invests in your professional growth.

What we are looking for:

  • Scientific Passion: A deep love for your subject that translates into engaging, 'lightbulb-moment' lessons.

  • Inclusion: A commitment to meeting the needs of all learners, ensuring Science is accessible to everyone (with particular reference to Education Support Plans).

  • Drive: Someone who thrives in a disciplined, motivated environment and isn't afraid to be innovative with practical work.

  • Values: A team player who aligns with our Academy values of Unconditional Positive Regard.

What we offer:

  • Elite Facilities: Modern, purpose-built labs and cutting-edge technology in our new building.

  • Professional Growth: A robust CPD programme and a supportive, tailored induction for ECTs.

  • A Winning Culture: The opportunity to work within a Trust recognised for its excellence and 'make a difference' philosophy.

Ready to Apply?

We encourage any applicant to visit the school or book an informal phone conversation with a member of the leadership team. Please feel free to contact the academy via email at hr@beaconacademy.co.uk to arrange a suitable time. If you're as excited by this challenge as we are and believe this might be the role for you, please review all attached documents before submitting your application.
