About us
The Ferrars Academy is a very popular, successful
and well resourced academy; rated Good by Ofsted, we pride ourselves on
delivering excellence in education, for infant and nursery aged children. We
are located on the outskirts of Luton close to the M1, A5 link roads and the
L&D hospital. Our 3 form entry school has a very diverse school population
with a range of different languages, religions and cultures. Our children are
well behaved and learn in a vibrant and friendly environment.
About the job
We are looking to appoint someone to work in our
busy school office. The successful candidate will have excellent
interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to priorities, be well
organised with excellent IT skills.
Duties are wide and varied but predominantly
include:

2026.
Term time plus 5 INSET days
Working hours:
Monday 8:00am – 4:00 pm
Tuesday 8:00am - 3:30pm
Wednesday – Friday 8:00 – 4:00pm
37 hours per week with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break
Salary £22,490-£23,213
About you
You will have a good level of
spoken and written English, be a confident communicator; providing front line
representation of the Academy both face to face and by answering calls and
taking enquiries. You will need to be able to deal politely and tactfully with
a wide range of people and have sound verbal reasoning skills. You will need to
have an excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy at all times. You will
be proficient with the use of email and productivity tools such as Google
Workspace and Microsoft 365 and be willing to learn internal processes and
administrative online systems. A knowledge of Arbor (school MIS system) or a
willingness to learn is essential. You will need to be comfortable juggling
many different requests and show a keen interest in playing a full part in the
life of our school community.
