About the role
For the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to undertake additional leadership responsibilities with an associated leadership allowance.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher with a passion for teaching and learning and a dedication to creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Science lessons across biology, chemistry and physics, inspiring curiosity, critical thinking and a love of learning. You will join a supportive department with high expectations and a strong focus on achievement, pupil development and enrichment. What we are looking for
We are seeking a qualified Science Teacher with QTS (or equivalent), a degree in Science or a related subject and a strong track record of teaching in secondary education. The successful candidate will have experience teaching Science across KS3–KS5, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and EAL. You will be confident in using assessment to track progress and raise attainment, alongside strong classroom and behaviour management skills. You will have secure subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and the ability to deliver practical, enquiry-based lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of Science. Strong communication skills, a commitment to inclusive practice and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential, along with a clear understanding of safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
