About this Role

We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic and visionary leader to be our next Headteacher at Chesterton Primary School. This post would suit either an experienced Headteacher or an experienced senior leader ready to take their next step into headship.

At Chesterton Primary, our motto is 'Building aspiration, overcoming barriers and celebrating diversity in our community, learning and relationships.' These are the things we believe take place here and what we want to achieve for and within each member of our community.  Our values are Respect, Persevere and Care.

The school provides education for 181 children aged from 3 to 11 years. The school has a committed staff team and it benefits from being part of the Active Learning Trust, a Trust who are keen to ensure that each of its schools retains its individuality and responds to the needs of its local community.

The Active Learning Trust is people focused and as one of our Headteachers, you will be supported by a dedicated central team, made up of both education professionals and business professionals.

We are looking for a Headteacher who will:

  • Bring their passion for the delivery of excellent education
  • Have an uncompromising commitment to ensuring that each child has a well-rounded education through a creative and challenging curriculum
  • Be an inspiration
  • Support and motivate our dynamic and forward-thinking staff by fostering respectful relationships
  • Promote inclusion and remove all barriers to education and extracurricular activities

We will offer you:

  • Belonging to a compassionate and inclusive Trust who values you and the role you play
  • A voice that counts
  • The chance to make a difference to the lives of our children
  • Engaged and creative children to share your expertise with
  • Motivated and talented staff team with high expectations for us all
  • Commitment to ongoing opportunities for training, professional development and career progression
  • Access to Teachers Pensions
