Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest to change lives and build the futures of children and young people.

As Vice Principal – Curriculum at Ormiston Bridge Academy, you will be a key member of the Academy Senior Leadership Team (SLT), supporting the Principal in providing strategic leadership, management and direction for the academy.

You will play a central role in driving school improvement, promoting high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour, attendance and safeguarding, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for all learners.

Working closely with staff, students and families, you will help create an ambitious and inclusive learning environment where every young person is encouraged to achieve their full potential and develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for future success.

You will have substantial leadership experience in a secondary or PRU environment, up to date knowledge of national policy, curriculum developments and statutory framework within which a school and PRU operate. You’ll be passionate about the work you do, provide professional direction and work well as part of a team.

About the Academy

Located in Fulham, Ormiston Bridge Academy serving London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, OBA provides a caring environment based on integrity, mutual respect, and understanding. The main provision at Bridge is for secondary learners, but we have primary provision on site, along with a managed intervention centre and outreach service. Our learners are at risk of, or have been excluded from mainstream settings.

We believe that success for our young people comes because of our specialist approach; we are interested in activities that develop all young people’s capabilities; their potential for employability; their ability to have successful healthy relationships; their ability to make safe life choices, enhancing their quality of life and the realisation of their aspirations.

Our approach considers our young people’s education experiences to date, their social-emotional health, their mental health, their family situation and experiences, and their special educational needs (SEN).

We work closely with professionals, families, and other practitioners to affect change in our young people’s lives, ensuring our work is holistic and therefore creates success by any means for all our children. We are proud of the work that we do, and the environment of our school is caring supportive, and inclusive.
