About this Role

The Academy Council of this high achieving and oversubscribed Catholic Voluntary Academy is looking to appoint a cleaner to join their team.

The postholder will carry out duties such as cleaning designated areas within the school premises to ensure that they are kept to a clean and hygienic standard. Protective clothing is provided.  

What are we looking for?

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of a designated area and maintaining high and consistent standards including: washing, sweeping, vacuuming and toilets, complying with Health and safety requirements at all times.

The post includes a substantial amount of lifting, bending and stretching.

St. Mary’s is a popular and highly successful school situated on the North West fringe of Leeds, close to the Yorkshire Dales.  The school is part of the Bishop Wheeler Catholic Academy Trust which consists of 2 high schools and 14 primary schools.  The November 2014 Ofsted inspection and the June 2019 Section 48 inspection both judged St Mary’s as an outstanding school.
