About this Role

Greengate Lane Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Lunchtime Supervisor to join our committed and supportive team during our daily lunchtime period, working 6.25 hours per week, term time only.

All our children have the potential to reach their goals, and this is an opportunity for you to join a supportive, hardworking, caring team and be part of their journey. Every day is different, but every day is rewarding – we notice the positives and celebrate the differences. We inspire children to be scientists, deep sea divers, entrepreneurs, you name it! But most importantly we want our children to be unique, well-rounded citizens who will make a difference in our community in the future.

Main duties:

  • To supervise the children in the dining hall and playground, ensuring that there is a safe environment at all times.
  • To work as part of the lunchtime and wider Greengate Lane team.
  • To actively promote the Academy’s positive behaviour policy and core values.
  • To encourage a healthy lifestyle through active promotion of positive play.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience in a primary school setting
  • Have good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Want to make a real difference
  • Promote good behaviour and deal promptly with conflicts and incidents.

  • We can offer you:

  • Amazing children who enjoy learning and are increasingly eager to achieve
  • A positive culture where everyone is valued and respected
  • A commitment to your own professional development
  • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme and Employee Assistance Programme
  • A supportive team of staff and opportunities to work together to improve practice and outcomes for children.
