About this Role
- Support the teaching and learning of Mathematics across Key Stages.
- Deliver small group and one-to-one intervention programmes to raise attainment and close learning gaps.
- Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities under the direction of teaching staff.
- Monitor, assess and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
- Support students with varying abilities, including those with SEND, EAL and disadvantaged learners.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement in learning.
- Assist in preparing learning resources and maintaining an effective learning environment.
- Provide classroom cover for planned teacher absence where appropriate.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support enrichment activities.
- Has experience of supporting teaching and learning within a school environment.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can inspire, motivate and engage children and young people.
- Demonstrates a commitment to inclusion and supporting pupils with a range of needs.
- Has strong organisational and classroom management skills.
- Is confident using ICT to support learning.
- Can work independently while also being an effective member of a team.
- Has a positive, flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
