About this Role

Acre Hall Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring, and committed EYFS Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover contract for the full academic year starting September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is truly passionate about working in the Early Years and understands the importance of creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. We are looking for a teacher who can inspire curiosity, encourage independence, and support children in developing a lifelong love of learning.

The successful candidate will join a welcoming and hardworking team who are dedicated to ensuring every child reaches their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. At Acre Hall, we value strong relationships with children and families and are committed to providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences for all pupils.

We warmly welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), particularly those who are Early Years trained and passionate about beginning or developing their career within EYFS.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about teaching and learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Have a nurturing and child-centred approach
  • Demonstrate high expectations for all children
  • Be committed to inclusion and supporting the individual needs of every learner
  • Create engaging, creative, and inspiring learning opportunities through play and exploration
  • Work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to school life-
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

In return, Acre Hall Primary School offers:

  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and welcoming pupils
  • A supportive and experienced EYFS and leadership team
  • A strong commitment to staff wellbeing and professional development
  • Opportunities for collaboration, training, and career progression
  • A positive, inclusive, and caring school environment

We would love to hear from candidates who are enthusiastic, dedicated, and ready to make a positive difference to the lives of our youngest learners.
