About this Role

Acre Hall Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover contract for the full academic year starting September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a caring and hardworking staff team that is dedicated to ensuring every child achieves their full potential. We are looking for someone who is passionate about high-quality teaching and learning, has high expectations for all pupils, and can create a positive and engaging classroom environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn.

At Acre Hall, we pride ourselves on our inclusive ethos, strong relationships with families, and commitment to supporting both pupils and staff to thrive. The successful candidate will work alongside a supportive leadership team and colleagues who value teamwork, collaboration, and professional development.

We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to begin or continue their teaching journey in a nurturing and supportive school environment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about teaching and learning in KS1
  • Have high expectations for achievement and behaviour
  • Be committed to inclusion and supporting the needs of all learners
  • Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and excellent classroom practice
  • Work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to school life

In return, Acre Hall Primary School offers:

  • Friendly and welcoming pupils
  • A supportive and experienced staff team
  • A strong commitment to staff wellbeing and development
  • Opportunities for professional growth and collaboration
  • A positive and inclusive school culture

We would love to hear from candidates who are enthusiastic, caring and ready to make a positive impact within our school community.
