Beacon Hill Academy - Finance Administration Officer Vacancy
Payscale: Band C, Point 13 to 18; £16.55-£18.52 per hour (inc. SSA) subject to experience, Sept 26 new rate.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will support
the day-to-day financial operations of the Academy, whilst developing the
skills and knowledge required to provide cover for all aspects of the Finance
Manager's role when required.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Support
• Support
the Finance Manager in maintaining all the Academy's financial operations
including payroll
• Raise,
process, and monitor purchase orders and invoices.
• Chase
outstanding invoices and payments.
• Support
delegated budget holders with financial processes.
• Assist
with the administration and reconciliation of petty cash.
• Support
financial processes to ensure appropriate segregation of duties.
• Complete
catering orders and maintain catering account records.
• Deputise
for the Finance Manager as required.
Administration Support
• Order
supplies and equipment for the Academy.
• Support
the administration of Academy lettings.
• Assist
with premises administration, including arranging maintenance callouts,
repairs, and insurance renewals.
• Maintain
the Academy's Gifts and Hospitality Register.
• Provide
general administrative support to the Finance Manager and wider office team.
• Undertake
a variety of day-to-day administrative tasks to support the smooth running of
the Academy.

The successful candidate will:

strong financial or accounting background.
• Be highly
organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Be
confident using financial systems and Microsoft Office applications including
Excel.
• Have
strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able
to prioritise workloads and work independently.
• Be keen
to learn, develop, and take on additional responsibilities.
• Demonstrate
a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
