About the Curriculum Support Officer role
This role is centred on creating a nurturing, inclusive environment that enables children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Planning alongside the inclusion lead, and delivering a bespoke, individualised curriculum for children who are currently working significantly below age-related expectations.
- Delivering targeted therapeutic interventions to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Developing and preparing a wide range of inclusive, differentiated, and engaging learning resources.
- Carrying out assessments, monitoring progress, and contributing to the evaluation of outcomes for pupils.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure the best possible support for children.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SEND and a genuine passion for inclusion. They will be committed to creating an environment where every child feels valued, safe, and supported, enabling them to develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates empathy, patience, understanding, and excellent communication skills. The ability to work effectively with a commitment to helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
