We encourage and welcome applications from minority groups and foster a work environment that’s inclusive as well as diverse, where people can be themselves.

About the Curriculum Support Officer role

This role is centred on creating a nurturing, inclusive environment that enables children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Planning alongside the inclusion lead, and delivering a bespoke, individualised curriculum for children who are currently working significantly below age-related expectations.
  • Delivering targeted therapeutic interventions to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Developing and preparing a wide range of inclusive, differentiated, and engaging learning resources.
  • Carrying out assessments, monitoring progress, and contributing to the evaluation of outcomes for pupils.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure the best possible support for children.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SEND and a genuine passion for inclusion. They will be committed to creating an environment where every child feels valued, safe, and supported, enabling them to develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates empathy, patience, understanding, and excellent communication skills. The ability to work effectively with a commitment to helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of some of our most vulnerable learners while contributing to our vision of an inclusive school where every child can succeed.
