About this Role
Teaching Assistant
St George’s Catholic Voluntary Academy is a thriving and ambitious primary school at the heart of the Littleover community in Derby. In May 2024, the school was judged Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted, recognising its exceptionally high standards, strong Catholic ethos and unwavering commitment to pupil success.
Inspectors noted: “Pupils are happy and flourish at St George’s Catholic Voluntary Academy. The school is highly ambitious. Staff are dedicated and all are committed to enabling every pupil to succeed.”
Rooted in our mission, ‘Grow in Faith, Have Faith in Growing’, we are proud of our inclusive, caring community where every child is known, valued and supported to reach their full potential.
You will be responsible for:
- Working with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
- Promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
- Giving support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement
What are we looking for?
If you are an enthusiastic and supportive Teaching Assistant who is committed to getting the best outcomes for pupils then we want to hear from you. The successful candidate will be able to build effective working relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues and will adapt their approach to meet the needs of all pupils.
