About this Role

Meadowhead School Academy Trust are looking to appoint a highly motivated and well-organised person to join our team as an English as an Additional Language (EAL) Teaching Assistant.

The successful applicant will work within a classroom setting either on a 1-2-1 basis or with a small group of students to promote inclusion and provide support for students who have English as a second language.

This role is varied and in addition to classroom support, you will have an opportunity to make a real difference to our students by supporting them during form time or after school study.

You will support our mainstream teachers to deliver lessons that enhance the cognitive academic language proficiency of advanced EAL students and provide a strong focus on language acquisition where necessary.

A background of working with students with English as an Additional Language is required to be successful in this role.

Staff benefits include enrolment onto the enhanced package for Smart Clinic which provides occupational health and well-being support for all employees.

The working hours for the position are 37 hours per week, working 8.00am – 4pm Monday – Thursday and 8.00am – 3.30pm on Friday’s, 39 weeks per year (term time plus staff training days)

If you would like to join our school, where every person matters, please submit your application by the closing date below.
