We are looking for an Arts Technician to support both our
performing arts and creative arts/technology faculties within the academy.
The role is part time for 30 hours per week
(8.40am-3.10pm daily) for 39 weeks per year (school term time working).
The purpose of the technician’s role is to work as a
member of the Academy’s strong teams being their support in delivering
practical lessons. Our technicians are integral to the effective running of our
classes. We need someone who can prepare resources, support students in the
classroom and maintain a clean and safe working environment. The
role will involve meticulous organisation, a positive approach to learning and
engagement in staff training to support outstanding practice.
Equipment is an important part of this role, making sure
we have enough for each lesson and that it is fit for use. Support with
exams and larger performances with recording or lighting/sound will also be a
part of this role so there will be a need for some flexibility to cover
exam periods and events in the faculties.
