Salary: Pro rata salary £22,959 - £24,517

Gooseacre Primary Academy is a thriving and inclusive school located in Thurnscoe, South Yorkshire, part of the Astrea Academy Trust. We serve a diverse community and currently have over 350 pupils across twelve classes, from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 2. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where staff are passionate about making a difference in children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

As an HLTA, you will:

• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge all pupils
• Promote good progress and outcomes by all pupils
• Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
• Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
• Plan and deliver well-structured lessons in line with school expectations
• Make accurate and productive use of assessment
• Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
• Fulfil wider professional responsibilities, including supporting colleagues and contributing to the wider life of the school

• Holds HLTA status or equivalent qualification
• Has experience working across primary age ranges
• Is confident in leading whole-class learning
• Demonstrates a commitment to inclusive education and high standards
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
