About this Role


We are a forward-thinking, innovative primary school with a passion for learning beyond the classroom. Much of our curriculum is taught outdoors in our inspirational and award-winning educational school grounds.

We are looking for 2 apprentices to work with individual children having special or particular needs, in accordance with the child’s statement where appropriate and\or groups of children as directed by the teacher. 

Working under the direction of the teacher/senior staff, encourage pupils to become more independent learners and help to raise achievement and attainment for all pupils. 

  • Supporting with behaviour management 
  • Assisting with structured and agreed class activities 
  • Assisting with the supervision of students
  • Supporting students with their learning and development
  • Preparing the classroom as directed for lessons
  • Preparing equipment/resources as directed
  •  Assisting to undertake student record keeping

  •  Able to communicate effectively with parents/carers.
  • Able to explain tasks simply and clearly, reinforcing teaching points
  • Able to engage good social skills 
  •  Follow support programmes, prepare resources and complete records of achievement
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and adapt from experience
