We are looking for an inspirational teacher and confident leader with experience of successfully leading pastoral teams, and a proven track record of sustained impact. This role offers the prospect of developing the experience our students have at school which starts with transition into secondary school and works towards finding an ambitious career aspiration. Our new pastoral leader will be responsible for leading the work of others, co-ordinating our communications with all stakeholders, and having strategic oversight of support for students. This will include working with the Education Welfare Officer to support with improving attendance, working with the Safeguarding team to offer support students and families, and leading the student support team, in their role guiding students to manage behaviour and attitudes. The pastoral lead will also work closely with the PSHE lead, and tutor teams as these are key aspects of the holistic educational experience our students receive. We believe that all students should receive the 'right time, right place, right support,' and to do this; relationships are at the heart of pastoral team. We wish to appoint someone who is able to continue to grow the relationships with our families and wider stakeholders.

At Corby Technical School, we believe in open and transparent leadership. We are a team who are very receptive to making changes where an opportunity for improvement is identified. We encourage our leaders to lead by example, be professional ambassadors for the school, and contribute positively, upholding the school values. Leaders at Corby Technical School are always flexible in their work, responding to the needs of the school, and are motivated to ensure that an exceptional education is provided for our young people. We are seeking to appoint a leader with high aspirations for staff and students alike, who models professionalism in every aspect of their work. The post holder will be a highly successful and experienced pastoral leader who demonstrates good teamwork, high standards and a capacity for hard work. The successful candidate will play a vital role in realizing the vision of ‘high aspirations’ and ‘expectations’ across the school to ensure that students have the very best opportunities afforded to them.
