Role Purpose

The Nursery Room Leader will support the EYFS Leader to deliver a safe, nurturing, and high-quality early years environment, promoting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing in line with EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the room, role modelling best practice.
  • Monitor children’s learning, development, and progress through effective observation and record keeping.
  • Maintain accurate statutory records, including attendance and welfare documentation.
  • Ensure a safe, healthy environment by following safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
  • Work with the EYFS Leader and external professionals to support all children, including those with additional needs.
  • Keep up to date with early years practice and contribute to continuous improvement.
