SCALE 4 POINT 7-10 (£30,288 - £31,611) PAID ON A PRO-RATA BASIS

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and highly motivated Cover Supervisor to join our exceptional school community. St Mark’s is a vibrant and inclusive environment where students are inspired to excel and achieve their full potential. Our students are truly exceptional, and this is reflected in the outstanding standards of behaviour recognised by inspectors: “Behaviour in lessons and around the school is exemplary, and pupils show high levels of respect to each other, to staff and to visitors.” (Ofsted, 2022).

As a Cover Supervisor at St Mark’s, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of education across Years 7–13. You will supervise classes during teacher absence, maintaining the high standards of learning and engagement that define our school. Your ability to keep students focused, on task and motivated will directly support the smooth running of lessons across a wide range of subjects. You would be required to work 3 days, and there will be the possibility of additional days during busy periods.

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising classes and managing behaviour to maximise learning.
  • Supporting students in completing work set by their usual teacher.
  • Carrying out form tutor responsibilities, including registration and supporting student wellbeing.
  • Assisting teachers with administrative tasks and preparing learning resources.
  • Supervising playground activities and accompanying students on educational visits.

What we offer

  • The chance to make a genuine impact on students’ lives.
  • A supportive, friendly team committed to your professional development.
  • Opportunities for training and career progression.
  • A positive, inclusive working environment at a highly regarded school.

We reserve the right to appoint at any stage in the recruitment process and we will begin shortlisting and interviewing as applications are received.
